Applications of the D-LOG One: 5) Agriculture & Viticulture

Updated: Sep 13, 2022

What is the future of agricultural drone missions? There is no doubt that autonomy will not only make them less expensive & raise their productivity by replacing ground operators with automated systems working 24/7, but also improve their sustainability, spraying drones being a better alternative to fuel-powered vehicles.

That’s why Dpendent has developed its D-Log One Unmanned Drone Ground Handling Station (UGHS), whose advanced robotics infrastructure quickly swaps batteries to ensure continuous 24/7 flight. Moreover, to fully comply with the requirements of agricultural & viticultural operations, our company is working on the Refill System (RS) option, which is able to automatically refill treatment liquids & seeds, as well as to recover 100% of the potential spill & to carry out the final cleaning after the drone usage, in order to spare nature & users. The secure encrypted mesh IP link communication system allows to conveniently monitor the missions remotely from an operations’ center (whether they are pre-programmed or on-demand flights). Finally, a network of several D-LOG One stations working as pit-stops can be established to cover vast agricultural exploitations, thus extending the range of operations to any distances needed.
