What is the future of drone delivery operations? Businesses and everyday consumers are demanding faster and cleaner products’ deliveries. This tendency is growing steadily with every year passing by. The COVID-19 pandemic and concerns for a sustainable environment have accelerated these trends. Though regulatory aspects will be a challenge to handle, the need to quickly transport critical goods, notably medical supplies, is paving the way for public acceptance. And not to forget the amazing work done by institutions like the Federal Office of Civil Aviation Switzerland (FOCA) to help our ecosystem.
That’s why Dpendent has created its D-LOG One Unmanned Drone Ground Handling Station (UGHS), whose advanced robotics infrastructure quickly swaps batteries to ensure continuous 24/7 flight. Moreover, to fully comply with the requirements of deliveries & transports operations, we’re developing a package management system able to autonomously load & unload parcels of different sizes (approx. 40 units simultaneously), hence reducing the need for costly human resources. Its encrypted mesh IP link communication system enables on-demand and remote monitoring. Last but not least, a network of D-LOG One stations working as pit-stops can be established, thus creating delivery roads from the neighborhood-to-neighborhood up to the international level.
